This would be a great moment to walk down to Starbucks/read that blog/vacuum the living room”), the rejection fear, the feeling that everything you write stinks, the self-marketing paralysis, the uncaring editors and marketing departments from hell, the book promotion blues......the list goes on and on.
And of course, I’ve also experienced that burning, passionate desire to write, that need to say something and have people read it, the elation over a thought well expressed in words on a page or a screen that makes writers different from everyone else, that makes writers slightly, well, crazy, especially when compared to their more stalwart and practical family members and friends.
